A woman named Teresa Hanson, aged 53, has been charged with murder concerning the death of her husband, Paul Hanson, who was 54 years old.
The incident occurred on December 28 at a property in the village of West Cowick, near Snaith in East Yorkshire.
Paul Hanson was taken to the hospital with a stab wound but died soon after.
Teresa Hanson is a hairdresser, and Paul Hanson worked as a site manager at a construction company.
The couple married for 34 years and had two children and three grandchildren.
The police have said that this was an isolated incident between people who knew each other and that there is no wider risk to the public.
However, Teresa Hanson has been remanded into custody and is due to appear in court.
